WOW....SH-E is so beautiful....Pic Heavy

Andy,

That is a beautiful SHe and congrats on the score but I am 100% sure that the slabs are black paper micarta. The older BP gets, the greener it turns. If that is a older SHe then the BP has turned green.

This is how you can tell, wash the handles in warm soapy water then dry. they will turn even lighter. Then add a light coat of mineral oil and they will turn solid black like they were when new.

JimmyJones has pics a old leaner w/bp and the scales on it look green too.

Nonetheless, it is a beauty of a knife. I would love to have it.

thanks for the info Dobywon.......
so I have never seen a black paper SH-e.....are they out there?
I might have to hoof it to the Busse Compound and let them tell me what it is:thumbup:
I do know leatherman has seen his share of Busse knives though.....now I am perplexed!
sorry, but I don't think I want to oil the scales on this badgirl to find out.

mineral oil will wash right off. I have the canvas micarta on my BMe and they are totally different.

100% sure I am!!!!!;):D

BTW, I know my Black paper,

I am going to pipe in and say Dobywon is correct. I know a thing or two about it as well and that is black paper. Wash it with dish soap and oil it and you will have one wicked stealth SH-e.

Congrats!

.

well, I did a quick search and found this old post

"The set is coming along very nicely!

Good luck on the SH-e!!!
Thanks Foo. I have a SH-E right now but, its sterile with black paper. Have another en route that is pretty close to what I'm after. It has a polished spine but, no logo. I never would have thought the SH-E would be the hardest one to track down"

Well now I know what It could look like if it was black paper:D

this post of a BP SH-ehere

and I found a really nice pic
