"Wrath of God" the rapture has arrived (Pic Heavy)

Is this a Dauntless rip-off? That's not for me to say, but let's assume it's not..

Is it very much inspired by the Dauntless? I'd propose that it would be very hard to say it isn't.

TAD has a master drawing that we Dauntless makers interpret, to make it our own.

This sure has the look of a knife based off of that master drawing.

Deep choil, deep finger notch, Blade Fuller, 3 handle fullers as well as the general shape of the blade and handle.

Individually, many knives have a lot of these features.
All together on one knife is much less common.

All in all, it has the appearance of someone starting with a Dauntless and making it their own.

If this had been built 10 years ago, one would think it was a prototype for the Dauntless.
Not as sleek, or refined, but almost all of the elements are there.
 
Peter and I have been going back and forth on this. We value everyones opinion and want feedback. This is just a proto. The last thing we want is for this knife to be called a Dauntless rip off. Last night Peter sent me a couple of changes that we are going to make. This will make sure nobody calls this a TAD rip off. I like Patrick and the last thing I want is this to be called a copy.

I just asked Patrick to take a look at this knife. Once we make the changes we shouldn't have this issue brought up again.

Really looking forward to seeing the revised version. You guys have a ton of good ideas, so I'm sure the new version will be even better than this first one. :thumbup:
 
That knife is quite large. Kick-ass pocket clip, though. Never seen a clip that makes the knife sit that low.
 
Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm a huge TAD fan. I love every Dauntless ever made and wished I owned them all. Also, the new changes will fix everything.
