Your work always impresses!Morgana
I once came up with the idea of making a handle with fluting, but instead of using twisted wire, I decided to use small silver nails. During testing, it turned out that placing them symmetrically didnโt work at all โ a more random arrangement started to remind me of a night sky. So I changed the entire concept: instead of a symmetrical and โproperโ style, I went for something more like an English garden โ hence the cracks reminiscent of ruins, the โknightlyโ character of the piece, plant motifs, a gently aged patina, etc.
80CrV2 steel blade, 6 mm thick, hand satin finish.
The handle made of antiqued and laser engraved steel, some parts are mirror polished. The grip is made of black hornbeam with stainless nails.
Hand stitched and hand tooled leather sheath.
36 cm overall, 25 cm of the blade.

Very creative on the handle!
I like the design, but the fuller feels too close to the spine, and a bit fat, kinda breaks from the sleek character of the piece as a whole. Just my .02, but keep up the nice work!Grimlok - "One tool option"
A8mod blade, 5,3 mm thick, stonewash finish. Spine of the blade is devided into three sections: the closest to the handle is champhered with thumb ramp, middle one is sharp for fire rod and "false edge" is rounded for thumb comfort.
The handle made of G10 with red liners attached with screws. Deeply profiled and sandblasted for better comfort.
Kydex sheath.
28,3 cm overall, 16 cm of the blade.

Engraving on this is sick! Some of the best I've seen! I want to incorporate similar elements in my own work, without relying on old world patterns etc., which you executed here brilliantly! Really nice!

Great work! Iโm a sucker for a seaxMigration Era Seax
The blade shape is taken from a historical piece from the 10th century and the handle is my inspiration from Migration Period sword hilts โ I simplified the construction a bit and there are no rivets. Itโs meant to serve as a working EDC, so it has a durable finish and almost no ornamentation.
The blade made of 80CrV2 steel, 6 mm thick, etched.
The handle made of flame antiqued steel, hammered copper and dyed american oak.
Leather sheath with steel reinforcements and copper rivets.
42 cm overall, 28 of the blade.
