Thanks for all the input guys. Seems sawbacks are losing there appeal nowadays. I also use mine to comb cordage out of cattail leaves and reeds.
Ive never had a sawback, but like I said Id like to give one a try.

America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

If you change the design too much it will just be a big bowie.
The picture a few post down from the top was working up until this afternoon.I guess I am the only one who can't see it?? The WSK gave me my first intro into custom knives back in '95. I would like to think that I would like to have a HT blade (flat/convex seems good)- but would like to see it first.
tholiver said:I'd probably buy one for 50(ish) bucks if it didn't have sawteeth (or a false edge of any kind) and if it was heat-treated. For that price i'd buy one just to try it out.
Really if i want saw teeth i'll use one of my SAK's or a Fiskars saw.
