WSS: Bushcraft Knife Challenge Gallery.

I hate to point out any specific knife in this great thread as ALL OF THEM ARE FANTASTIC.

However Mr. Marchand...... your entry is particularly appealing to me. Very rustic yet I would never shame a piece like that by making it a "safe queen". It begs to be used!

That said...... nice work to all the makers, and I can't wait till the reviews come up.:thumbup::thumbup:

Pit, there will be a new thread posted with the final results of the testing.

I expect we'll have it ready in the next few weeks.

This thread is just me posting some pics as I test each knife.

...my homage to the talanted knifemakers who stepped up to the challange.

Big Mike

Thanks for explaining Mike, your pics are awesome, thanks for taking the time to do them for us !

Damn. Those are excellent pics of Dylan's work. Frickin 70 knives to his name, and he has totaly overtaken me skill wise. I've made 700 and still feel like an infant in this trade trying to feel my way around in the dark. He never ceases to piss me off. Totaly goes to show you that if you want to get into a trade, even a really poor teacher can help you a lot. That, and he's just skilled naturally. He's making me a knife right now with ivory paper micarta scales that I'm very excited about.

Hey, your stuff is awesome, and I can see your influence on his work.

Thanks. His grinds are the same convex sabergrind. But he's designed a whole line, and really they're all quite different from my own.

Absolutely! No slight in my comment, you are both very original and obviously extremely talented. Working in such proximity would make it impossible for you guys to not influence each other though. That, in my estimation, is a very good thing.
If I had $ and more hands and time, you both would be sold out for quite some time.

Wow, awesome photos! Keep 'em coming!

Thanks fellows.

Any pictures of the Turley? Or did I just over look them?

The Turley knife is in the final batch I'm testing now.

Photos will be coming, the Bantang knife photos are in the can and will be posted soon.

I normally can't stand rustic or primitive tools but Rick's stuff is in another dimension. I'd love to give some of his knives a go someday as well.

I appreciate the compliments. I'm too tired to think of anything else to say. lol. No sleep last night. I'll have to come back to this when my brain starts working again. Great pictures Big Mike. Thanks again to everyone involved in this. This was a big deal and I'm very appreciative that you guys took the time to do it.

Dylan... you have quite literally "exploded" out of the gates, brother. Now, show some courtesy and wipe up your mess!:p

Big Mike... pics... you... as usual... awesome.
