I received this Deluge 3.5 (3.5" blade, perfect EDC size) about 15 years ago, when wait lists were 7-8 years long. Never been out of the safe except to admire, wipe and oil when necessary (not really necessary since it runs on teflon washers and doesn't use bearings). This was truly unique and rare back then, as it was only the third bolsterlock ever made by Derek then, and had many little details not found on his other folders (till today actually). It had a bolsterlock configuration, timascus pivot collars, handfiled pivot screws, timascus lost souls backspacer, marbled CF (from the maker of marbled CF then that went bankrupt), two-toned damascus (I forget the maker of the damascus, Norris or DT, I can't recall), heat coloured titanium scales, a coke bottle shaped handle (he had to try carefully a few times to finally get that rose bronze colour) and less recurve (requested) that to me seems aesthetically pleasing. It doesn't have bearings nor a heavy blade, so don't expect those factory drop shut closing but a manual slow roll but the opening is fast with the lightswitch finger pull. You won't see another one like that out there.
I've retired from knife collecting, and am slowly selling my collection to pay for my daily living expenses. I no longer buy new knives nor seek new ones (so not interested in any trades) and I really want this to go to someone who appreciates handmade knives through the years - no CNC, no fancy lasers, just handcut, handmilled with a lathe, handground and handmade by Derek Fraley.
I'm asking for a modest $2,500 shipped to you. I can take a bank telegraphic transfer or Paypal Goods & Services (fees on me). I ship via Singapore Post Speedpost Packet which is trackable and takes about 11 working days. (and the post office will apparently also levy some of Trump's tariff charges I believe for me to ship). I'm only dealing with members with good standing as I cannot take the risk of funny business. I have been on the forums since the very beginning in late 90s/2000 ( I forget exactly which year but everything was reset after the Great Crash). My friend is also going back home to the States in summer, so I can also arrange for her to ship to you within USA itself - but you will have to wait till summer. If you want to collect and pay cash in Singapore, it will be cheaper by quite a bit as I can avoid the shipping, fees etc which can be quite a bit - cash and collect in Singapore is Singapore Dollars 3,000 (approx $2,330 only)
Thanks for looking.
