I have a Benchmade 810 Contego, Knifeworks.com exclusive with the M390 steel and blue/black G10 handles which are much more friendly than the standard 810 Contego scales.
I just got this knife in on trade, and it's simply not for me. It is large, solid, an excellent slicer, but it's just bigger than what I was expecting.
I am the second owner. It was carried by the first owner. The edge needed help when I got it, so it has a 15 degree secondary bevel with a 20 degree microbevel on it right now. This would be easily maintained by a Sharpmaker or similar. It is not laser sharp right now, but it shaves hair, cuts paper and peeled a few oranges for me with ease.
I am looking for medium to large (but smaller than this Contego) folders. Benchmade and Spyderco are my top choices, but I might be willing to add cash for a large plain Sebenza if the right deal strolls by. Never owned one and have always wanted one.
I am mostly interested in exclusive/sprint run models, and would consider the right deal on a Ritter or regular full size Griptilian with AWT scales. Cash may need to be added either way to shore up a deal.
