Hey guys, I have a black 3.5" XM-18 gen 3 scale (just the scale, sorry
) that I'd like to trade for a colored scale. Blue would be best, but just about anything would be cool. The scale is in lightly used but excellent condition.
One small disclosure: the guy I got the knife from claims that this scale was originally ACU camo color and he dyed it black. He's a cool guy and I have no reason to disbelieve him, except that never in a million years would you guess that the scale has been dyed. It is an even pitch matte black. He said he used a special purpose made dye in boiling water, which opens up the G10 pores so the dye is more than skin deep. Anyway, I could throw in a few bucks if this worries someone, but you'd never know if I didn't tell you.
