Ok so I got a Busse user here that I am considering trading before I invest the dough to have a nice sheath made of it and all that jazz. It's a SH-E... .25" thick INFI (Might be .26" never actually measured it). It's a Steel Heart, tick over 7.5" blade scale to tip. Greenish quilted micarta scales. Original OD Green nylon sheath with plastic/kydex insert. I've put an insanely sharp highly polished convex edge on it. Really didn't change the angle all that much. Just took off the shoulder of the V grind (this one didn't have the asymmetrical edge) and drew it back some. Brought the tip down maybe 1/256th or 1/128th at most as it was a little blunted it seemed. It's nice and pointy now. But not so much as to have a weak tip. LOTS of beef behind it. I can promise you it'll be one of the sharpest knives you've ever handled. And SO ready to bite into wood. I am very OCD about heat... whenever this knife even got warm and ran it under ice cold running water (I have a sink right next to my grinder). And the coarsest belt I used was a 220. So the game was slow and low and took a while. There is ZERO chance I have changed the heat treat. The blade would get hotter sitting out in your car all day in August.
Here's what I'm looking for. This is just a tick too big to EDC in my bag. I can pull it off with the right sheath so it's not THAT big a deal to trade it. I'm by no means in any hurry to let go of this beast. But I would consider trading for a NO-E or similar knife. Maybe an ASH-1 or the like. Something with a 6ish inch blade. It must be INFI, it must be at least .20" thick, and it must have riveted handles (No Res-C). I prefer black or OD Green Micarta, but will consider other colors.
Also considering a Team Gemini of some kind. It's about the same size and I hate that the tang is lightened but that knife is sick lookin.
Will also consider possible trades for a Rat Waki... Maaaaybe a Rucki but it'd have to speak to me.
