This is my consolidated thread this go around. Anything I don't have pics for right now I will get some this weekend. So check back. Also see my gear ad here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...Eagle-BDS-S-amp-W-Advantage-Arms-Steiner-5-11 as I am happy to mix and match items in either thread for a trade.
I'm really kinda good on blades to be honest. All my needs are pretty well met in the cutlery department. I of course will always entertain Busse knives. But there aren't many of those I'm after either. Here are some of my immediate trade interests. I can trade one blade... or all of them. Just depends on what you have.
1. Iphone 5s 64GB Verizon Black (New Condition)
2. Iphone 4s or 5 Any GB Verizon Any Color (New Condition)
3. Ipad Mini (if it has a carrier it needs to be Verizon... but wifi only is cool)
4. Apple TV 3rd Gen
5. Quality plasma or LED TV. I'm really looking for a 65" Samsung but will consider others. (Looking for a recent model with wifi and apps).
6. Swamp Rat Rucki with black micarta handles
7. Team Gemini (Not Light Brigade)
8. Scrap Yard 1311
9. Desktop Tower with at least 3.2ghz and 8gb of RAM. Windows based. (As close to new as possible) 22" Monitor wouldn't hurt either.
10. Quality stereo speakers in the large bookshelf size range... something like a Bose 301 or Klipsch RB-51 II.
11. Quality Home Theater Reciever in at least 7.1 (Sony, Harmon Kardon, Marantz, Onkyo) Must have a built in amp or come with an amp. And must have direct tone controls... I hate recievers that have static built in EQ Settings.
12. Glocks
13. Remington 870 (especially youth model 20Ga)
14. AR-15
15. Black, Tan, or Foliage Maxpedition Last Resort Attache. (It's for my chick and she HATES OD Green)
Please PM or Email me... I won't check this thread often.
Busse user Ruck Kensei. User only because it's been stripped. It still has factory edge, never sharpened. It's been stropped a little but that's it. It has the Busse undercoat which is kinda like parkerizing. I dyed the Tan handle Dark Brown. Still some coating on the spine around the handle area. It's in excellent shape. No sheath. This one doesn't have the corrugated edge treatment. It's bevel is solid. I consider that a plus.
Busse user SH-E around .26" thick INFI Steel. Tick over 7.5" blade scale to tip. Greenish quilted micarta scales. Original OD Green nylon sheath with plastic/kydex insert. I've put an insanely sharp highly polished convex edge on it. Brought the tip down maybe 1/256th or 1/128th at most as it was a little blunted it seemed. It's nice and pointy now. But not so much as to have a weak tip. LOTS of beef behind it. I can promise you it'll be one of the sharpest knives you've ever handled. And SO ready to bite into something. Coating has some good wear on it. It's a user... it's ready to work.
This was before I polished the edge.
This is a custom piece Mr. Siegle made for me a while back. It's about as massive a chopper as you're going to find. The blade is about 14" .25" thick differentially heat treated 5160. Handle is about 15" inches long and the blade is 3" WIDE at it's widest point (just before the tip sweep). Black one piece G10 handle scales and kydex sheath. It is an axe, spear, sword, knife, lance, halberd, prybar, hammer, boat paddle, and shovel all in one. Make a great survival tool. Skull crusher pommel is parallel to tip and it's actually got a good balance. The curve of the handle gives this thing amazing chopping ability. Just like an axe. But it is linear tip to top so it's still good for thrusting as well. It's handle geometry is semi-oval like an Axe handle. VERY comfortable. I remember Mr. Siegle saying he liked how the handle turned out so much he was gonna use the same geometry in some of his other knives. It's more graceful than it looks, but it's not for someone with limited upper body strength.
Strider WP that was customized by Chase Axinn. It was set in a carved black micarta handle and pinned with stainless pins. It's got a thumb groove in back and hand filed finger grooves in the index finger position and on the back of the pommel for your thumb in reverse grip. Few marks on the blade but overall in nice condition. Simple, kydex sheath. It's 3/16 S30V made by Strider. It feels great in the hand and still has the factory edge grind. It's a great little knife.
