i have a ba-e..... but it has a polished spine, send a pic of yours and we may be able to work something out...

For what it is worth: I recently purchased a BA-E w/ polished spine. I can't put it down. I have already ordered 2 custom sheaths for it. It's a little tank. 
Besides, you can just use a black sharpie to color it in.
On the flip side, the SJT is hard to beat. An awesome do everything knife.
It's a win win both ways.
