While visiting my parents over the holidays, I found this knife in my old room, acquired in a trade in the early 1990's.
I don't know much about it, then or now, but it appears to have thick slabs of stag (or good imitation stag) handles, rock-solid lockup, and to my knowledge has never been sharpened. The brass bolsters could use a bit of polish. The tang is stamped:
GERMANY
KC 48
ROSTFREI
I don't know what this knife is, or what it is worth. I've always thought it was an interesting piece, but there are other knives I'd get more use from. Following is my wish list, in generally descreasing order of preference. User condition would be fine on all:
Spyderco Delica 4 PE
Any Benchmade Griptilian or Mini-Griptilian, pref. a thumbstud model
Any Delica or Endura, PE or SE
Any decent quality, small or medium fixed blade (i.e. Kabar, Mora, Becker, better Buck, better Gerber, etc or better)
Decent quality hatchet
Any decent quality large fixed blade
Good user folder, any size
