I have a like new damascus Beast up for trade. Blade is smooth, centered and lock-up is solid. Damascus is a combo of 1095/1080/15N20 with about 300 layers. It has a rockwell hardness between 58-60. Really great knife, have had no problems with rust or any discoloration of the steel. Takes a great polished edge too.
