Guys: I totally agree about the serial number thing. Just like an artist who later reproduces his original prints as posters for mass sales - the original prints are numbered - the rest are not.
As for the design changes - I also agree. You may find that the second generation models are actually better in design than the first models, but who cares - such is the case with almost anything when a move is made from "first" to "second" generation.
I envision a real collector's market developing over these first 40. Sort of like buying wine futures. By the time the wine is delivered to you, it's often worth much more than you paid for it. Wouldn't it be funny if these things increased in value so much that I couldn't afford to buy one fro an owner! Wouldn't that be something.
