I've always been happy with Dale, and TKC. My Barkies are in their own boxes, so Dale ships in a padded envelope. More than one knife, they have come in a shipping box. Talk about fast shipping. I've ordered late on Friday night, I had it Monday, via USPS.
My only complaint is that Dale has too many great knives to choose from, and I keep buying. I have more knives than I need, but some were limited runs.

Wow everyone! Thanks for the compliments... I'm humbled!

Thanks for your business... We couldn't do what we do without your support!

Dale is based in Ohio where I'm from and that free shipping offsets the state sales tax I got to pay

I got an ESEE6 coming tomorrow

I highly recommend Knife-Connection

You've earned the accolades Dale. Great service, great company. I've ordered every ESEE I own from you and if I've ever had any questions you were always available for an answer. Keep doing what you've been doing...it works!

His service, prices and contributions to the forum are great. I also hear his custom handles are wicked awesome so I'll probably grab a pair to support someone who helps support others.

When I have ordered from Dale in the past he sent it in a plain mail-type big envelope without padding. If there was to be ANY criticism, it would be to use a heavier padded envelope or box to ship knives. One order was just some accessory pouches (warranted an envelope) and the other an esee-3mil-s with some tek-loks. He very well may use boxes if the order warrants it but it wasn't like I was ordering an ESEE-5, ESEE-6 and a Junglas.

I could see those long envelope's getting caught in sorting machines and getting ripped. That.....or being able to easily tell what's inside so someone's sticky fingers can decide they want this big, long knife-like object.

Definitely not trying to stir anything up, I just thought something like this might happen with long, hard objects shipped in envelopes when I received my 3mil. I haven't heard anyone with anything bad to say about Dale and my experiences with him have been great.

Thanks for bringing this up so I can give some explanation.

I do not charge for shipping so the weight of the package is important. Of course the more it weighs, the more it costs to ship so I take into account the weight & getting the item to you safely.

The big envelopes I use are Tyvek & are very strong as they are fiberglass reinforced. I have never seen one just torn open & they are somewhat hard to cut unless you have a good sharp knife.

ESEE knives are well made & I have never had one damaged in shipment using the Tyvek envelopes & I have sent a bunch that way.

As far as theft... It is VERY rare that a package does not get delivered in the USA & they are insured if something does happen.

In summary.. I have various types of packaging & how it is packaged depends on the item(s), the weight & where it is going.

Dale is great! I order all my ESEE things from him! Great service, great prices and if you ever need anything give him a call or e-mail him....

We just need to get after him to update the pictures on his site :P

I know.. I know! You guys keep me hopping with sales & I can't find time to get pictures shot!:)

Dale is awesome. I've ordered 5 knives from him and will continue to order from him so long as he has what I need.

edit: Also, I've had no issues with my packages and I still can't figure out how he gets them to AK so damn quick.

Welcome droobies! It's great to have you here!

Please see my response to the other post regarding shipping.

if he's got what i need in stock, that's where i order.

I am getting calls now because I am out of some items. I tried to anticipate having enough stock to get through Christmas but I am getting caught now on some items due to Rowen Mfg. being shut down for the holidays & Shot Show this week. Please bear with me & I'll get stocked up again as soon as possible!

Reading this post in one window and ordering from Dale in another.... life is grand.
When I first got my ESEE 4 in the tyvek envelope I first thought jeeze my knife could have been damaged...then I remembered what type of knife I ordered, it was fine :)

I've bought from Dale on two knives and he was great. Hell, I told my wife to call him for my Christmas present, and he even managed to get her squared away! That's talent, man...

Now THAT IS funny!:D

No troubles Dale, I ship via flat rate $1.99 USPS for my business, and I know how far that gets you (not very far to those that don't ship very often), so to offer free shipping and still maintain a business is a tough balance to strike. Like I said, I had no issues, so no troubles here. Thanks again for the great service. You'll be seeing my business again very soon!

After buying three knives from Dale, I anticipate when the time comes that I get the knife before I even place the order.

Also, does The Doctor know you have his TARDIS? :D

Pardon my ignorance, but what is TARDIS?
