XHP Manix 2 LW

I stumbled on to this today too. Not sure about the brown FRCP, but it seems like a great deal.
 
I like the big price difference in comparison to the Maxamet version. Really wanted that version until I saw the price.

This is a tough one for me. Given my tastes in steel, I will likely enjoy xhp more than I will a carbide rich steel like maxamet....then of course there is the massive price difference. All that said though, I have a curious mind and I really want to try out some maxamet.
 
Pretty hard to pass up at that price. There are just so many nice ones coming down the pipe!
 
Oh. This could sway me for sure. I really like the XHP in my Chaparral. Seems like this will be the middle ground of the corrosion resistant LW Manix 2's vs edge retention. I really rate my maxamet MT but in the LW Manix corrosion resistance is also a desire due to how I'd use it. But S110V in a Manix goes a little too far the other way from BD-1. Gosh I'm dropping some coin on folders as of late. Too bad it's brown, but I could get over that.

This is somewhat of a game-changer. It is close to the price of the base version but in a much better steel. I'm just not too keen on brown though.

I was thinking that it will be hard to top the S90V/CF version, and there are plenty of those around at good prices, but then I was thinking that M4 or even Cruwear would be great in this knife.
 
I'm in. Patiently waiting for a translucent version of the burnt orange that the hap40 blades got though...
 
Ordered! I need a backup for my new S110V and this is a good price. Nothing wrong with brown although to match my "Dad Cargo shorts" would be better...
 
I am so in! I've never had a Spyder in XHP, and the price pretty much seals the deal.

I'm cool with the brown. I just like all the handle colors they're churning out in Golden. Still waiting for clear and green, though ;)
 
I'm pretty sure I would have liked any other handle color more. Too bad, I love XHP.
