Got it last night! It is awesome![emoji3]

I agree with the brown statements, it isn't as bright/saturated in person. Although I probably would have preferred a different handle color, I think the brown fits better than standard black, not sure why they didn't go orange like a lot of KC's exclusives lately, but oh well. Love XHP and I don't hate the brown too much :).

They've already committed to doing an orange M2 LW exclusive for another dealer (CS).

Oh yeah? Any news on that? Such as steel and such.

My bet would be either LC200 or M4...it's going to either be a US made proprietary steel or one in common manufacture. LC200 is US made as far as I know, M4 is in the public domain but Crucible makes the CPM version that Spyderco uses on other models.

I for one would love to see a bright red version with a DLC coated blade in the same scheme as the sprint Native for the firefighters foundation.

I'm curious to see how XHP performs on these, I have seen great performance from it on my Cold Steels, especially for the very reasonable price.

I didn't think much about the brown handle but once I saw it in person it really grew on me. It's been a while since I've carried a LW Manix and I forgot just how leightweight it is. I think the brown will do a great job blending in with cargo pants and even brown dress pants and so far I really like this steel.

Last I heard the orange LW will have S90V.

An m4 lw manix 2 would be awesome. And I also hope they offer something in the red and black scheme, but do you think that color combo is now locked to that exclusive? Seems like I read somewhere before about how when a company orders an exclusive run the color combo kind of becomes "theirs". I could totally be off on that and probably am, hopefully at least.

My CTS-XHP Manix 2 LW just arrived in OZ. Really really happy with it. I'm very pleased to feel that the sticky BBLock that both my LW and G10 S110V Manix's is not there. Seems they have improved something. Also the spring tension in the BBL seems really good too, little less than the others I've handled. Not that I minded the others. But this feels less.

"LC200N can be obtained from Zapp Materials (based in Germany), (···) you can get a 2 inch wide by 1/8th of an inch thick by 40 inches long sheet of LC200N for roughly about 110 dollars US Dollars. I would love to see knife-makers and others start to make hand and custom made knives from the stuff"

as per a member of the Spyderco forums, on a thread from two days ago.
Exciting stuff!

I just ordered one. I love brown in my native cts from knife center. So this should be a perfect addition. Great price. Great steel and I've never gotten to try a LW manix. Here we go!
