Xxxxl hands, I want to buy flipper knives that will work for me

Try to find a Kershaw tremor when I hold it (medium to large hands ) it has a full inch at least sticking out

Not flippers, but the Emerson super size offerings have large handles.

Also the Spyderco military is rather large, but not a flipper.

The Todd Beg Field Grade Bodega is aLarge flipper, but is in custom knife price territory.

Sounds like your flipper needs both a long, thick and wide handle. ZT 0452CF may be too thin.

I think Olamic Wayfarer, MicroTech DOC, Custom Knife Factory ELF, Zero Tolerance 0600, 0200.

Also Check out the CRKT Fossil.. its a decent size flipper with ball bearings at the pivot so its super smooth and the price is just right if you arent looking to break the bank just yet.

The Super Commander handle is 5.5 inches, which is usually large enough for folks with large paws. Granted, it's not a flipper but it's most likely a right-sized knife for you.

If no flipper than the BM Adamas folder. Most describe it as a beasty tank but to me it's one of the few folders which feel just perfect
in my big hands.

Beat me to it, John! I was going to suggest the 0452cf. Also, holy cow, putting it next to the Buck 110 really puts it into perspective, eh? Wow.

Haha great minds think alike, brother! And yes, that ZT is massive! In a good way :)

ZT 0561 or Hinderer XM-24. Both big blades with ample handles for a bigger guy.

Havning owned a lot of flippers I no longer care for them. If you must, try a Spyderco Southard as it has a 4.5" handle. I would go for a Spyderco Manix 2 XL or Military, personally.

Welcome!

Out of the box suggestion. I'm going to throw out something, but it's not a flipper. If you are going to use working as a working knife as an Arborist and you have big hands, look at an Emerson Super CQC-8 or Super Commander. They are big knives, have the 'wave' feature that open as you pull them out of the pocket. I'm guessing when up in a tree you have your hands full, the wave could be perfect fit. You don't have to go through the extra step of adjusting your hand then hitting the flipper. They have a big thumb stud for easy opening with gloved hands too. Liner lock for easy one hand closing. The Super 8 is big but not wide, so doesn't take up a huge about of pocket space, comparable to it's size. The Super sized versions should fit your XL hands very well too. Love my Super 8. My Emersons are users, not safe queens. They pop beer bottle tops well to for cooling down after a hot day of work.. bonus!

Big flippers, ZT makes the biggest non-custom flippers. The ZT200 (if you can still find one) is a beast of a work knife, but it's not the best flipper, just tried after not using for some time, and I have big hands. The knife fills the hand, but the flipper has to be pressed so low, it's hard for long fingers.

Here are some pics of bigger knives (some flippers and non-flippers) for size comparison:
(ZT561, BM Skirmish, Emerson Super CQC-8, ZT200, Emerson Super Commander)

I think the ZT 0350 would do you nicely :D

Howdy, I am a newly obsessed knife guy and want to start collecting flipper knives for every day carry. I have huge hands. My son is 7'1 and his are a little smaller. I have been playing with a Medford Preatorian an it kinda fits my hand. I just ordered a Enlan El-01 because I read on the forum it was a good cheap flipper. I was hoping some of you would have some recommendations of some knives that might work for me. I don't want a fancy knife at this point I will be using it every day in the field. I'm An Arborist-Tree man-climber. I'm not really opposed to custom knives but I just kind of need some help.

Only thing worse than a too small handled knife is a big handle with a smaller blade. You seem like a man that needs the whole package...I don't know your

The only folder blades which I encountered fit for a Titan are: Listed in order of my favorite...
-Lone Wolf T3 (Discontinued) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFMsGWdDNEc
-Cuda Maxx 5.5 - D2
-Spyderco Tatanka
-Cold Steel Voyager XL (Older Model/Now Discontinued)
-Cold Steel Raja II

All of these have handsome sized handles and 5"+ blades... There are others...These I personally own and can vouch for with actual use.

The praetorian has a 5.25" handle but the actual gripping area for your fingers is probably around 3.75". I have a ZT 0600 too and it's also stated as a 5.25" handle but there's about an inch more gripping area than on the praetorian. I'm actually planning on getting rid of the ZT 0600 because there's just so much extra handle and blade length on it that I don't need.

You could try one of these. A Microtech Matrix. It's a semi-custom knife, so it's priced at $850..
I own a custom version with a San Mai Damascus blade. I love to flip it. Can't seem to stop...

But it has a very large handle/grip. A very, cool and stout blade..

If you wanted something similar to the Microtech Matrix there is also the Sinkevich CUT Flipper from Fantoni for ~$375. But the CUT Flipper is 3/8 of an inch shorter with a 4 7/8 inch handle.

Might take a look at Cold Steel XL Talwar

Upgraded steel this year. Not a flipper, but waved, so even better! Full flat grind. Light and super tough. Arguably the strongest lock on the market.

Pull it out of the pocket, and it opens it's self. Huge long handle and blade, but still useful in shape.

2xl gloves are usually a bit tight on my hands. The regular version of the Recon 1 fits my hands perfect. The Talwar xl and the Recon1 xl should give you plenty of room.

If not, the largest Espada from Cold Steel is a pocket sword! It should be big enough for Andre the Giants hands!

Okay, so I did some thinking. I see others here have actually thrown in measurements, so I thought I may as well throw in a tape measure too.

Here is a picture of a standard Benchmade Rift in my hand. I fucking hate this knife.. I have XL hands and it looks too small for my hands, or at least that's how I feel it fits anyway.

Now here is a picture of my same XL hand on the Microtech Matrix. Check out how much taller the handle is and mainly how much longer it is and how much real estate is left over sticking out of my hand. This knife honestly feels a bit too big for my hands..

Now lastly, here is a picture with a real tape measure so that you can see some actual scaling/point of reference.

I am probably wasting mine or yours time here as Microtech charges stupid, stupid money for their knives. I feel they are worth it, but others here will disagree. But if you are interested in a Matrix, you may want to grab one from GP knives quick as they will be sold out in a matter of days. Supply and demand is a total bitch.. :thumbdn:
