Yangdu keeps on doing it. Real deals for 10/7. Pix and uncommon bargains.

Do be careful with "seeks". Pointy, pointy thing with no guard. Many a Viking/Celt probably lost a pinky/ringfinger thrusting this object... it ain't a bowie. Hold tight. See "Book of 5 Rings" by Miyamoto Mushashi on grip.

It is, however, authentic, historical and supremely well-made by Kumar (mine).

AA

and i will have a unicorn-horn or yeti-bone one someday soon... pls UB

Interesting.........

in light of a recent comment on the Swords forum here:

"when I saw the final product, the hilt was that of a khukri and not a seax, it bore no resemblance to any historical seax that I have ever seen. HI has great blades, but their attempts at non-Nepalese types of weapons depart too far from the traditional and historical designs for my taste."

Not a blade style I've paid much attention to myself.

Dean,
Me too. Or should I say, me neither. I could never quite figure out the seax thing. Let alone with a khukri handle... Perhaps one has to be Celtic/Norse/Nepali to get it. More power to 'em.

It's as I suspected; we're historically inaccurate scum.

I'm thinking of making a new rig with either my Falcatta or Tarwar paired with the Seax as it's karda.

*That* ought to make one sweet over the shoulder outfit, eh?
