Yard sale.... Ozark trial....

Just gassing ? Your comment about this place not being about cheap knives was in the same vein you are accusing me of. Were you just gassing when you insulted the entire forum? Got any cheap counterfeits you'd like to post about?

I don't have any experience with ozark trail knives. I do have plenty of experience with knives in this price range. I've got a dozen vics I bought used that I'd rather own than a cheap ozark. Further, I'd rather save my money a bit more and get something from Ontario, or a knife from any of the other legit companies selling stuff in the $25 range.

Honestly, if $25 is too much to spend on a pocket knife, one has bigger problems to worry about than having a pocket knife.
I don't have much experience with the the Ozark Trails knives either. I just don't want to bother. But another inexpensive knife (Rough Riders) tend to get my attention or at least a little bit of attention to the point of picking them up, fondling, and sometimes buying. We're talking $10-$12 versus $7.50 here. There are a lot of people who might want a pocket knife but consider $25 too much to spend on something they don't use much.

Everyone has different interests and a value system that they have developed based on their life's experience. A person might spend $100's of dollars on a German made rechargeable drill, but refuse to spend $25 on a knife.

I've seen people with a garage full of nothing but Snap-on tools but a Tac- Force assisted opener in their pocket.

Many people out there just don't ask much of a knife, and don't know that their knife could be better.

There are a great many folks on this forum who are going to bash your purchase because, for them, the price tag of their knife is a huge ego boost. That, and they think their knife will be some hard-use device that it almost certainly isn't. If more people were honest, this knife would be absolutely perfect for what they use them for: cleaning their fingernails, posting photos on InstaGram, and taking up space in their pockets.

Now, would I buy it? No. Mostly because I'm not looking for any other blades. I do, however, have a couple (maybe more) of the cheaper Ozark Trail knives laying around. They are black plastic and, when I bought them, they were a buck each. They're ugly and cheap, but they work great for things like cutting fishing line, opening boxes, stripping wire, and other things that would result in me wasting time sharpening my Benchmade or Spyderco or Buck knives more than I would prefer.
