Thinking about getting a Moa Eldris. sometime before Feb./March 2022.
I have zero experience with Mora's stain less steel ... unless Victorinox uses the same alloy ...

Does Mora's stain less take and hold and edge as well as their "Carbone"?

Is there a better small general purpose neck knife than the Eldris? I won't be using it on foul, (at least not uncooked foul) fish, or small game.

I have a few Eldris but find the handle a little too chubby for a neck knife and the blade length is slightly too short for my taste.

For neck knife, I'd recommend something with slimmer profile, l really do like the Izula 2(skeleton, cord wrap) or Brisa Bobtail 80.

It is good qualitywise but the knife was way too stubby for me. The thick handle - although feels good in the hand - doesn’t make it easier to use the short blade. On top of that the blade for me personally was just too much belly. It would be a great knife with slightly longer blade and the tip in line with the handle center.

Yet to buy a Mora I was unhappy with. That wee knife looks brilliant, love the two grinds. Be great to see you buy it and tell us how you got on with it Afishhunter;)
I have Moras in carbon and 12c27, the latter is a fab steel btw and does not stain readily in my experience. By that I mean mine have not stained but I do not use them in salt water environments.

I had one, great little pocket/carving knife! I've sold it because i didn't used it that much and i usually carry a "real" pocket/neck puukko. Still a great knife and one of the favorite of my wife!

The Eldris is Sandvik 12C2, which will take a very thin, sharp edge if you do your job.

There are better, but few if any at the price point. The handle is probably the best part.
