Let's make a list of the ideas so far. Don't forget, this has to end up no more than a 4 (on a scale of 1-beginner to 10-expert) on the difficulty level. That is, it needs to be something that will stretch the beginner, yet require few tools and no specialized tools.
There are many people who can make leather sheaths....even kukri sheaths. If you got the $$$, then have them make you one.
This thread is for those who want to make one themselves. Perhaps we'll conclude with 2 or 3 good ideas instead of 1.....we'll see.
So far we got:
Suggestions/Ideas (non-sheath-specific)

So far we got:
- 1 - "stacked" multi-sheath: the kardas can be separated from the main sheath.
- 2 - over-the-shoulder or baldric type sheath. (how would the tools work on this one?)
- 3 - 100% leather quick-draw sheath
- 4 - hikot-style (one sided wood) sheath
Suggestions/Ideas (non-sheath-specific)
- A - Use PVC/plastic/kydex (works the same)
- B - Use a belt loop instead of a frog (high or low? - had votes for both)
- C - Kardas on the front instead of back
- D - Room for one karda only to save weight
