Ye Old Seek-n-Find with the coffee table “junk” drawer

I'll play too... Since we don't have any small children in the household living currently, I have guns and knives in all of my drawers,
tables, spread out everywhere.
Lately I was trying to put at lease the knives in some order and fixed few Pelican cases to hold about 30 of them...
Well the second picture shows one of those projects, the first one is old, but proving how my "junk" drawers are looking 🤣
Interesting thread, I love the OP's junk. 🤩

Do I spy a Ruger SR9?

Thought some of you might find this fun. See what all is in this is a pic of my coffee table drawer with lots of my good stuff -knives, tools, gadgets, and general pocket trash. I’ve always wondered if others have a messy drawer like this. I’ve seen the very organized wooden drawers and the metal tool chests, but this one is just the coffee table drawer. I love to look at all the things I am collecting. Lots of details to zoom in on.

Thanks, and enjoy looking.
I have a shelf that looks like that 😂

For the most part my stiff is more segregated. I have plastic tackle boxes with folding knives in them. I have a couple of small drawer units with junk in them- a couple of drawers with flashlight stuff, a couple of drawers with misc. knife stuff, a couple of drawers with watch stuff, etc. I don't have knives out in my house, and only a few cheap watches. I don't have a lot of valuable stuff but a few Spyderco knives and a few cheap watches could add up, I keep that stuff in a bedroom closet that has a lock on the door. Whenever I leave I lock the door. I realize it's just a small deterrent but it is something. For a little while we lived in a gated community and I would leave things laying out but we moved to a small house in lower income area so I keep things locked up more.

I have one drawer with mixed gear in it- chargers, charge cables, gear that I take when I travel such as Garmin, headlamp, tent light, spare batteries, etc. When I get ready for a trip I pull out the misc. stuff and pack it in a gear bag. I bought a small tool roll bag from Amazon that has 5 or 6 zip up compartments. I put flashlights in one, charge cables in another, spare batteries in another, spare watches, etc., then throw it in my suitcase. If I'm camping and I need a flashlight I know exactly where to go to get it.

You know it, the first release, right after they issued the recall, came from the factory with the red dot indicating the checkup.
It's essentially my son's gun, I gave it to him when I bought it, but we keep all of our guns together.
Replaced the original sights (very good one BTW) with little bit faster, inexpensive tritium Mepros with larger front white dot,
faster sights and you can rack the slide with it.
Internally only Ghost connector and little polishing. Trigger become nice with less pre and over travel. About 6lb probably, didn't measure it lately.
Eats everything, never had absolutely any issues with it... It was a time my son decided to not clean it in order to see how reliable is...
After about 5 thousand, mostly white box 115grain Winchesters I couldn't stand it and cleaned it, but the gun was running with absolutely no issues.
Thinking about it, only the SR9 and the X5 never had any malfunctions and both are over 10K rounds. My Glocks are very reliable too but I had some
light primer strikes, understandably on some Russian Wolf ammo, their primers are hard.

I have one also, it's been a great gun, absolutely reliable. Pretty thin for how many rounds it holds and accurate as well.

I try to be a bit more orderly, because of my experiences growing up with a father who owned 5-9 hammers because god knows where any of them were, and he had to keep going back to the hardware store to buy a new one every so often. Every square inch of the house I grew up in was stuffed with tools (plus nails, bolts, and screws of every size), electrical components, and nick-nacks. The lack of organization of any of these objects meant I was introduced to Chaos Theory before most of the other kids. I try to keep this sort of insanity in check in my own home and until I started collecting knives was pretty successful. There are lots of tools and stuff for projects, but other than the out of control knife and book acquisitions, things are mostly on an even keel. I try to do a yearly spring cleaning, where anything not being used, handy for future use, or having sentimental value is purged. There's no way I'd be one of those lunatic minimalists who just toss anything they're not immediately using and then buy it again when they need it next, but most of us have way too much stuff that aren't part of a collection or something we'll ever use.

This is my forward staging area desk drawer for small-mid sized folders (rotated in and out from the main collection). The larger folders are in another drawer. Some small fixed blades on a shelf and 3-5 fixed blades in a larger drawer. I'm not saying that the extra knives are there because I like to occasionally open the drawer and handle them, but yeah that's a thing I do at my desk.

What do you think of the crooked River?

The Benchmade Crooked River is a modern take on a Buck 110, without sacrificing the classy looks. It was the knife that changed me from casual collector to crazy knife collector.
Thanks. Been thinking about one of those.

This is such a cool thread, hopefully we can see more "junk" drawers! I have plenty of disarray with everything but my knives, unfortunately.

Belly, are those beads komboloi (worry beads) or some type of pace beads?
Yes, they are titanium komboloi type beads. I have 4 or 5 sets of titanium or copper beads of different shapes. Google ”aroundsquare”. They have awesome stuff. I have a bunch of their begleri too.

Thank you sir. I thought it looked familiar, as I looked at that model when it came out. Was not aware of the CU option. I’m afraid you have cost me some money. 😒😆
They also have an even newer version with anodized titanium on both sides. Check around.

I did see that. The copper speaks to me, and the gf is getting gifted the CF version. His and hers, if you will. Definitely going to have her gut a fish with it.

I love the copper myself. Once it gets a patina, it looks even better. Plus I love the small knives like this one, the Spyderco McBee, Spyderco Dog Tag, the Benchmade 110TK, the Benchmade 330.
