Ok guys I have to share with yall something I think is pretty funny. I bought my home over a year ago. Nice older neighborhood with nice older folks, but there are a couple of neighbors I have to raise an eyebrow at. I'm sharing this cause I know some of you folks like off roading jeeps and stuff. One neighbor owns a couple of cobbled together jeep wranglers, they appear to be set up for offroading/mudding whatever. In the time I have lived here I have seen those jeeps move from their parking spaces for longer than 10 minutes 1 time. Otherwise here is something that happens quite often...

Step 1: Wear sleeveless shirt and board shorts
Step 2: Attempt to start backfiring and sputtering jeep
Step 3: After it FINALLY starts its time to rev the jeep up over and over for about 30+ minutes sometimes over the course of the day
Step 4: The jeep sounds like it doesnt have a muffler to make sure all the neighbors hear how awesome it is
Step 5: Turn the stereo up to max so that the busted speakers sound fantastic
Step 6: Blare Nickelback for a few awhile
Step 7: Break out the pressure washer and wash the jeep again and again cause it needs it yo!
Step 8: Invite over your sleeveless shirted board short wearing friends and repeat steps 1-7 standing around the open hood of the jeep
Step 9: Practically scream talking to each other over the revving, nickelback, and pressure washer about how awesome this all is
Step 10: Make sure to not drive the jeep

During the summer sometimes they drive a boat into the driveway, take off the shirts, add beer, and sit the boat all day. It is absolutely imperative that you do not take the boat to the lake, but use it like a fancy beer holding bench that plays more nickelback...

People are funny. LOL I am sure they all talk bad about the mohawked guy who is constantly cutting stuff with knives in his yard... :D

this^^^^^we have a couple versions of this in NH as well. LMFAO.

wtf-photos-19_zpsdd1bf54a.jpg

just be sure not to mix them up. drinking and underwear with 5 flys?

The 5 flys might might make it easier!! With those, your ready to go wherever it falls LMAO :D

I was picturing one of those "mystery boxes" - the kind with holes on each side (4) that you stick your hand in and try to guess what it is that you pick up in there.....

It's nice to be wanted.
One of 4 guys in the state with my certification level and socio-economic background... It helps.

So, my father in law gives me a riding mower. Been sitting for years. Surprisingly, the tires hold air. Today, I changed the oil in it, put some gas in it, changed the spark plug, and installed a new battery. Wouldn't turn over at all. Messed and messed with the thing...nothing. Went ahead and mowed the yard with the push mower, and when I got done, I slapped myself in the head, remembering that I didn't depress the clutch, duh. So, I did, and it made noise, but didn't turn over. I was thinking maybe the starter was stuck, but, I took the battery back out, and charged it. Yep, wasn't charged all the way. So, I put it back in, and it turns over, yay. Took the air breather off, and noticed a mouse nest under the housing. Took the housing off, and cleaned it all out. Then I noticed the wire from the armature to the spark plug had been chewed by a mouse, but not before I blew a fuse. So, how was your day?
Sounds like you have at least had an adventurous day!

Where is this mythical quote thread you speak of?
This is not the thread you are looking for...

thanks for the kind words, guys. I handed it over yesterday and then went to my fave leather shop to get some black dye, leather lace and lizard skins. The "brutey" is almost done but I won't post pics until the sheath is done.
You're a jackass for that! You know you could at least post up some teaser pictures.

Glory holes?.... Don't want to think about what you pick up...

You're nasty....

Doc

Well, I got home this evening and found that one of my 5 gallon batches of blackberry wine got "overly rambunctious" in fermenting and blew the bubbler out of the bucket lid and ran "fermenting blackberry juice foam" all over the bucket lid and the "fermenting closet" floor. As the liquid on top of the lid is still tacky, I'm guessing it just happened this afternoon. Cleaned up the mess and stuck the bubbler back in its hole. Within a minute, the bubbler was back to operating correctly. Here's hoping the batch works out OK. This is the bucket that is should finish out at about 17-18% ABV. :D

Yarrrggghh!

glurble gloggle glub glub glub...

Standing by for orders, Captain.
With or without the sonars on?

That's your department, so, whatever you feel is best. As long as them others can't track us...

When did it become pirate day?

Every day is Pirate Day if you're a Pirate.

For a price, you can find out for yourself.:D

:emot-yarr:

Ah yes matey, but that price cannot be paid in dubloons alone...

;)

Sounds about right to me. And the problem is?... :D

I'm intrigued, is it available locally only?

It's a Sierra Nevada Brewing Company (SNBC) beer. AFAIK, it's available year round. BIG flavor, 10.2% Imperial Stout......might not be a great session beer. Racks of 4. I finished my first week at the new job with a 3¾ hr. drive home from the Cape (Cod) through Friday night traffic in Boston. It's only ~120 miles of 99.9% highway......

That beer is fantastic. Good choice.

My last one. I figgered it'd be a good one to sip and celebrate with.
