Yeah I'm rolling down Rodeo with a snark gun.

The 3D mapping only covers the outside that is in view. There are usually three systems: photo, laser, and high-frequency sonar. Though the sonar is not currently on the vehicle. Ideally they'd make 3 or 4 passes to make sure the sides get covered and stitch them all together.

I'm not on the audio stream. Usually I'm only in the control vans when things break. You're probably listening to Clara, one of our mapping specialist, and a PhD student in electrical engineering.

I gotta get a Yuma then a Tradewater before next Blade Show. That Yuma is incredible!

I saw that, always wondered what the notch on the Kukri was for, guess I'll never know

My brother is really into khukris and told me that it has religious significance. Also, some people have said that it allows blood to collect and drip from that point rather than running down on to the grip.

A buddy sent me a couple new files to play with. One is flat and one is half round. Both say "Nicholson" on them if that matters....

When your working on steel do you file in both directions?... Or do you only go backwards like stropping, or forward like using a butchers steel?

And really im not sure how to use the half round one at all LMAO

Kukri's are very nice to fence with. There are multiple arm-bar style moves you can engage your attacker in and tuck the blade nicely in joints to remove tendons.

A question to all y'all knife guru's out there. How much of a pain would it be to "properly" straighten the handle on a BK4?

Nicholson is a good file! I don't know if it makes a difference but I only went forward with my files.

You mean cut the handle off where it bends and relocate the handle slabs? Not much trouble at all. Actually straighten the knife out without removing stock? Just buy a BK6 on the bay.

Only time I asked an actual Gurka about the cho on a Khukuri he said "it's a khukuri, so it has a cho". There are all different shapes, too.
Not gonna keep blood off your hand if you really slug somethin' with it though... My take is it's a religious symbol. Also been told it keeps the grind transition from turning into a stress riser when it's hardened-they harden 5160 with poured water so its pretty abrupt.
