  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

year marks- good thing or not?

In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? I am trying to get each date code but if I fail, so what! It's the thrill of the hunt for me. I just found one in a pawn shop that has BUCK, CUSTOM & U.S.A. stamped on the blade along with gold etching. I didn't think I'd find one but I did. I've got a 67, a 68, a 2 line inverted, a 3 line along with all the 2,3,&4 dot variations. Do I have to get them all? No, but it sure is fun looking!

Received my "new" Buck 55 from Amazon today. It came in a box marked 2011, but the tang stamp indicates 2010 manufacture.

well i guess most like year marks .. am glad some feel like i do ..
i know they dont hurt any thing..
wander if they will do like they did in 2003 and put a year mark on the back side again?
i like that right well makes a nice tang stamp buck 110 usa on the front side!!
any one else like that idea ?

I have a couple old knives (not buck), but it sure would be neat to know how old they actually are other than the fact that theyve been made for 20-30 yrs.
So ya I like the date stamps.

Just think of all the fun that would be lost if the early 110s had year marks.

Bert
