Year of the Kershaw?

Does anybody know the name of the large knife on the left in the photos posted on page 1 by Spiralarchitect where it shows 4 knives and above them it says that he cannot remember the name of these four Gems?

I believe the smaller version is being held by the kershaw guy whose face we cannot see in the photo a little further down.

I don't have a kershaw yet so I just bought a spec bump with the S30V blade and I love it very much. It is an awesome knife for the price (I bought it for $100). It's now always in my pocket everywhere I go as my primary user knife :)

Hi MoreToasties and Sprialarchitect -

Thanks for putting all the pics in one thread.

Congrats to Kershaw for winning all the awards they did, and I look forward to getting a few of the new designs when they are available.

best regards -

Between a these Kershaw’s the new Spyderco’s and even a Benchmade or two its going to be a very expensive year, better see if I can get some overtime at work.

If it is the lefthand knife in this picture, I think it is it is the Tremor, but the knife next to it looks identical other than the size. Not sure if it is a trick of perspective, I've only seen one size mentioned.

These Gems (can't remember the names)

is the volt a regular production model?

the only ones ive seen for sale were the blems on the exchange.

No the Volt is not a regular production model. They made 278 (I got 271!) and that is all there will ever be. I believe theres still a website or two that has some. Pm me if you want the info.

Thanks I guess either way for the price of the Tremor it is probably worth it. I want to actually put it in my hand and try it on for size but it is visually appealing and the blade is very much to my liking, seems like a good skinning blade. The handle reminds me of a MT Amphibian that I once had (still not sure why I got rid of it).

This year is scaring me!
I've never been into Kershaw, and now I want almost every one they are coming up with
The task 2, talon 2, and tilt are all going to have to be mine!

Boker is also putting out many interesting knives with the haddock, gnome, rhino....
I'm dead meat!

great looking designs, how bout carbon fiber on a speedform II ?

That would be absolutely fantastic! I can just imagin a 3d scuplted and semi polished carbon fiber handle on that beauty.
Defeats the purpose. The I is the high end and the II is the low end. The II is meant to be a wallet-friendly version of the I.

I think you may be confusing the volt 2 and the speed form 2. The Volt 2 is the more "wallet friendly" version being made with a polyimide handle and 8cr13mov blade with an msrp of $39.95.

The Speedform 2 on the other hand is made domestically with ELMAX steel and 3d machined g10 scales with an msrp of $139.95. Granted it is cheaper than the Speedform 1 but not really a "budget knife" as compared to the outsourced models.

In any event I would love to see a carbon fiber model. I've really had a thing for sculpted carbon fiber lately and don't see it on many production knives at all. I think it would be very popular.
