Now I really like these! I am puzzled as to why this is classified as yellow scales? Looks great though.

Sorry I meant to quote AKADAVES pics.

Love that Muscrat Elliott! I'll never tire of seeing that beauty posted:)

Me too, so much so that I posted "synthetics" in a "bone" thread. Guess that makes me a "bonehead" and thus I properly removed those images. Sheesh, some people. :o

(I did replace it with a nice yellow bone stockman to atone for my transgression.)

Are they not yellow? Looks yellow to me. To be fair they are more yellow looking in person, but I wouldnt know how to classify them otherwise.

The top two look more orange to me, more like a very light orange, just very faded. The bottom whittler looks like it has a little hint of yellow on the left side of the scale. By all means I am glad you shared, they look great and I really like the scales colors. Didn't know if I was wrong and these were classified as yellow bone, maybe they changed over time. Were they originally classified as yellow bone?

Did a Google search and found other knives with similar bone colors that were referred to as yellow. Learn something new every day ;) :o.

I wish GEC would bring back their rotten banana bone.

I agree! It's by far my favorite and when I met Christine from GEC in person at the Oregon Knife Show I told her that. Well it was more of a begged her to do what she could to bring it back lol.
