Yep!

Smith & Wesson HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) -- classic Darrell Ralph design. Not a big surprise it is a better knife than many S&W offerings. I doubt it would beat the old Camillus designs he made for them, though.

not much can beat a camillus though! about as good as I've ever seen. my brother carryed a camillus every day for many years. wish i knew where it was. think he done lost it.

it aint a big deal when all you gotta do is a little lite bending with some pliyars. good as new.

You're trying too hard...

The Ozark Trail video demonstrated why I would not buy one. I suppose you could get by in a pinch with the knife, but overall, just not something that would be of much interest to me. He really didn't abuse the knife too badly and there appeared to develop a good amount of blade play after not all that much "hard use". He pretty much destroyed the edge pounding it through the limb. Overall. I'll pass.

You really need to write a pocket knives tips and tricks book. I'd read it. You can easily bend it back into place if you put it in the oven for a bit first.
(Disclaimer for new knife enthusiasts, don't actually do this)

But wait, the blade isn't even coated....

No molecularly bonded black coating? Fail.

Everybody knows the blade needs molecularly bonded black paint to make the steel stronger-er and better-er.

So, you will weaken the lockbar in order to fix...nevermind. Your garbage knife, your call.

LOLOLOL I agree, not much can beat Camillus for being cheap Wal-Mart knife-case filler.

Camillus is not the same company as in past years like the Taylor Brands Schrades, now owned by S&W subsidiary.

Are they suddenly well made knives made out of quality materials? Because I can tell you the knife I held a month ago at Wally World with that button-running-down-the-zigzag-track-to-open-it deal certainly wasn't.

This thread is too funny, I cant take OP seriously enough. You cant post a video of a $4 knife failing after light abuse as a proclamation of its value. This is a knife appreciation forum.

I like to keep an open mind.

Quiet, I believe I made it clear that both Camillus and Schrade are not the same companies that most of us remember. I am hoping that both improve their quality over time.

Watching the video I say to my self the only thing this guy has not done to prove he has no clue is throw it... Had to smile when he actually started throwing the knife

I said in another thread and I've actually been advocate for this blade, but the new selection is not what the original was. The new ones that are coming out of very sloppy and poorly put together, a lot of the locks didn't lock up or they were very weak. I kept and loved my original one I just wish I could keep finding more like it.

I misunderstood your comment. I agree that Camillus and Schrade aren't the excellent companies of days gone by, that is my current understanding. That said, I would say that Schrade at least is pumping out some quality products (well on the fixed blade side at least). Camillus though, I can't think of a single thing they make that I would waste a cent on.
