Yep!

Well if some expensive, very expensive, folder folds on itself lots of people come to defend it.
"A knife is only for cutting..."

If some cheapo knife without a fan base develops blade play after not so normal use lots of people come to say if it doesn't chop without blade play it's garbage.

If it were the same people saying those things it's hypocrisy. Otherwise it's just fun. I guess.
The $4 is also not my kind of edc but got one in every car and backpack in case my edc isn't around. Will be enough to do what I normally do and if it breaks or gets lost it's not a big loss.

I think most of the criticism was directed at the reviewer with the black bush hat, tactical gloves, lack of knife knowledge and nonsensical tests he put this non discriptive knife through. As BF members we are intrigued with blade steel, geometry of cutting surfaces, heat treat, fit and finish and real life qualitative knife testing. Throwing a folding knife be it $3.97 or $400 ten times against a tree proves what? Like you say not your type of EDC, however having it as backup in several vehicles for an emergency may work out fine. All I would expect out of this blade is to cut seatbelt material, pizza, or maybe open a WalMart sealed blister pack.

found this video on one of my favorite carry folders. this one is a little nicer than the other. more of my nice occasion going out knife.
