Was thinking I would carve a spoon this week so I looked on the tube. Of course there's loads of stuff there but this video really caught my eye.

It's the amount of work he does with the axe at the start, well i'll be trying to copy this tomorrow so if I loose a few fingers then you know why.

That dude has skills!!

If I used an axe like that, I wouldn't have any fingers to hold a spoon with......

Thanks for the video!

Thats awesome...seeing someone who really knows how ti use an axe is really an impressive thing...a for axe on the a-z of bushcraft is worth checking out as well.

I must be a total wimp, I couldn't believe how close he was chopping to his fingers. Although he still has them, so he must know what he's doing.

That's all kinds of impressive.

You can tell that this fellow feels very comfortable with an axe in his hand - on account of him still having a hand after that kind of work.

Very cool video, thanks.

Cool, don't think he's a first timer. Where's the video of him making that bench he's sitting on?

holly mackrel that guy still has his fingers.. I guess he done been doing it longer then a month of two. He has great knowledge and the skill to apply it..

People like that really piss me off. It would take me a Redwood, a lathe, a miller and a years time and I still wouldn't wind up with something that nice.

Very talented person. And has been pointed out. He still has all his fingers.

I have taken the ride to the emergency room too many times due to sharp implements to try what that guy does so easily. Great video. It never fails to amaze me the skills that some people have with their hands.

oh shizer no hand would be left on this pro old boy here he is either nuts or blesses with hands of steel just emagine the pain of learn that one
just mad skillz

I held my breathe for the first four minutes of the video. Talk about confidence in your abilities!!

I really need to get one of those hook knives.

Great video.Always a pleasure to watch a craftsman with skills you don't
have do his stuff. The axe work made me cringe a couple of times remembering
past cuts I've done to myself.

This is why it is said "a person can survive in the wild with a knife, but a person with an ax can live as a king!"

Wow. The beginning part had me on the edge of my seat! That man uses a hatchet like the rest of us use a pencil.

PS: my crooked knife came today from Ragnar, this was some well-timed inspiration.
