I really look forward to receiving my knife and becoming a part of this forum! Although I think I'm more excited about the knife, to be flat honest hahaha :) I happened to find it at a vendor who offers 3.99 one day shipping, so It'll be here soon!! :)

Again, thank you very much to TLARbb, Rsmith, Bob W, quattromori, mtagent, pertinux, Lycosa, qncygnnr, Boggs, pinnah, mnblade, billypilgrim and AKC. Especially thank you to those who took the time to post pics and ask further questions. Totally stoked about getting my knife! And I stayed about a dollar shy of my budget! Hahahaha :)

Hahahahahaha thanks!

Oh, hey! I didn't see a forum for this, so I'll just ask it here really quickly - any suggestions on a sharpener? I just ordered the "Lansky Deluxe 5-Stone Sharpening System", because I'm terrible with stones (it holds the blade and lets you sharpen at different angles).
Anybody know one similar to that? Or maybe have that one?

That one should be fine. I have been wanting to get the diamond hone version of that, but I'm still hand sharpening on my diamond and Norton India stones.

Congrats on the decision. I bought my niece a Boker Whittler this year for Christmas. I checked it out before sending it to her, and the quality was excellent. I've also gifted a Boker Beer Barrel pocketknife or two previously (but not the Whittler) and the wood is a very lightweight and beautiful material. I think you'll be very happy with it.

here is sharpening sub forum

Nevertheless boker steel is the perfect steel to learn how to freehand is soft enough to put an edge quickly with any medium stone and I found out that simpler carbon steels works better for me slightly toothy.
Don't worry and practice, practice, practice.

Enjoy your new knife
