So I hung saran wrap across the doorway of my roommates door but it is super hard to work with, especially if you're trying not to wake someone up. However she does wear glasses so maybe she won't notice the waves in it. Hopefully it's not very light out when she gets up.

I neither over- nor under- indulged last night. I just indulged. No penalty today. Made bacon and banana pancakes for breakfast, and started the chili we're having for dinner with the bacon grease; used it to brown the ground beef and onions. Crock pot is now going full steam. And yes, it's chili con carne - which should end the debate that chili IS beans, with the meat added if one chooses. Have an excellent day, folks.

I was doing tequila shots with sailors in a mexican restaurant in Edinburgh in 2003... One of our guys was positively schlewed (ok, we all were), and dammit he wanted to eat something! So he insisted on 'con carne'. 'Con carne!' it was all he could say. We were laughing that he was ordering 'with meat!'. Eventually the waiter shrugged and brought him a bowl of ground spiced beef such as you would add to tacos or chili. He was perfectly happy.
