Good to see those masks worked for electro-etching, WW!

Yes they work out very well, thank you brother!!!

Ill try it again soon with PCB and see if i get a more uniform etch, im also thinking of using pads instead of qtips for the electro-etch. If i can cover the entire logo at once it might be harder to do some parts darker than others or to miss areas.

Played around with a little etching on a tramontina bolo, i guess i should of went over the top part a little more. Im going to try it with PCB etchant next and see how it comes out that way. This is an electro-etch. I think ill prefer electro as far as doing it, i enjoy it this way.. but 50% of the time there is a part thats not as dark as the rest... like the top of this one.. And im thinking i might get a more uniform etch if i try PCB.... or maybe etch it out with electro and then darken with PCB... Ill be doing some more playing with etching for sure.

And if anyone remembers this drawing, it will indeed be coming to life. Darrin Sanders will be taking on the project for me. Its going to be MASSIVE.

hey WW, hey is that the sticker i had made for you? if the etch don't stick it means it's dirty, even the oils of your fingers will do this.

Hey JD, these are ones Mrn8 made for me. I still have a couple of the ones you made for me but i was running low on them and didnt want to use the last ones up just practicing or playing around.

And you know thats probably exactly what it is... I never even bothered cleaning the blade at all before the etch.... Ill try again and clean the steel with some ISO before hand.

Thanks for the tip bud!!

Dollar store has some good stuff, spray degreaser for a buck

I like a buck :D Ill have to check the dollar store out so i dont waste my ISO.

The ISO i have is 99 percent, and can be a pain to get locally, and ordering it makes it more expensive.... SO id really rather NOT waste my ISO when i dont need to.... But it does work great cleaning blades and stuff.

hey check out these rocks,

bowdrill pivots out of 710 micarta drops?!? COOL!

oh, oh, sorry, I mean: Nice rock. what's all that crap in the way?

I just ran into some silly axe/hatchet heads that attach to picatinny rails on both pistols and rifles....

Just use google image and search TACT-AXE .... Talk about a whole new type of bayonet LMAO

Trade really nice score bud!!

And 710 great work on the knife and the sheath. Thats a sweet setup there.
