I work for our school district and my boss called to tell me not to come in since we are having a snow day. We were supposed to get about an inch, but it's about 26 degrees and we have about 5 inches. So, I played with a cheaters snow fire and ran around with the kids.

I cheated this fire with some Cedar I had around (pretty wet though), PJ Ball and my Strike Force. 2 strikes and it was in flames.

Paradoxical. I like the snow, but don't handle the cold so well any more. :confused:

Thanks guys! Yep, this is one of my better days and a day out playing is more than a good day for me. We are now looking at a forecast of about a foot of snow on Saturday. My daughters 7th birthday and it's going to be a doozy just like when she was born.

i had a "snow day" monday and tuesday. it was more of an ice day but it ended up hurting me actually, because i had exams to be studying for and my books were at school. :( oh well, i got to enjoy the weather.

I got a call from the boss soon after getting home today. She said to call the office after 6AM tomorrow to check the voicemail greeting. If she changes it to "Site closed" I get my snow day tomorrow! :p

We're expecting 6" to 10" on top of the 4" we got on Tuesday.

My plan if I stay home tomorrow is to mess around in the snow with my sidecar rig for awhile (I haven't done that before), then maybe build a fire out back in my fire ring and play with my daughter out there.
 
Great stuff, over the holidays I am getting off 12 days and hope for 6 inches of snow to frolic with my girls in. Pat

Good news here. I got a call saying we're closed up tomorrow. Yea! Another snow day. It's already snowed enough to cover up our activities today. I guess that means we go do it again.:thumbup::D
