that police was mine in his post he claims he owned it for 7 years more like seven minutes...
i traded steve/yiterp police and kff small folder for 10 knives 9 autos 1 non auto.
What i recived was 4 autos 1 of which wont fire and one bali...
i was told all were new knives functioned like new....
his package was not even sealed.
it was usps foldup box no tape or anything, now he wont say anything to me but all 10 knives were in box and all function perfect BS....
if you have done business with this guy tell me..
if you have bought 2 benchmade clones 1 sliver 1 black or a 10 1/2 in leverlock or S&W clone tell me please...

Make sure you have the name spelled correctly. It is yiterp.

None of my business, but he kind of burst on the scene, trying to trade the same knife to a whole bunch of people on the individual sales forum. He has several posts there now. I, personally, had a real negative reaction to the way he phrased his posts. But that's not facts. I also was put off by the fact that the majority of the knives he seemed to own were knockoffs, not the real articles.

Can't help but wonder if he's ripped anyone else. If so, it ought not be sat on long, IMO.

This guy's got me worried for sure.

I traded him a Hubertus 8cm and an Italian for a Boker Rider (ltd) and $50. He said he was waiting on $50 from a guy on another deal and that he would send the Boker right away and then the $50 right after that. We e-mailed quite a bit and he seemed to be pretty legit. He has the Yahoo Messenger so correspondence was prompt and sounded good.

Well...like a dumb a@#, I agreed that we would send the knives at the same time (but, what else can you do on an even trade???). I sent mine last Saturday morning (Priority Mail) and he said he sent his. As SOON as he recived mine, I noticed on the board that he sold them. BEFORE making sure I got mine (if it was even sent). It is now the following Saturday. I had him verify that he had my correct address and everything.

No knife and no money. His correspondence is very slow if at all, now.

I'm not saying he ripped me YET. It just is starting to smell fishy. If he did.....Better look out...........

I will keep you posted. He still returns my e-mails. Just like slow and three words or less.

I'm still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, BUT it's looking pretty grim, my friend.

I am new to this community and been around some other forums for a while,And have done some trades for high dollar knives with people i did'nt even know and found that most people are honest and if you dont like what they send you or they dont like what you sent them you just send it back and keep everyone happy!!!A happy cutomer and good relations among us forumites is what makes this a great place to shop and trade,If someone treats anyone wrong we all will hear about it,I just find it funny that he has"nt responded to say that all will be taken care of or to at least try to accuse the others of being the bad apples(which I know isnt true) but at least he could say something.

sorry about the rant but crap like that pisses me off!!!

Nifrand -- I have a fairly large gap in my memory since I left aol.com 2 or 3 years ago. Can't remember which.

Anyhow, what is AOL's policy on multiple IDs/user names? How can one tell if e-mail is going to same PC?

I'm not at all doubting your assertion that yiterp is coyotejoe, just want to try to be able to recognize such little things in future myself. By background and inclination have strong urges to play i-net police.

Bugs, AOL will allow each account to set up to 7 screen names. But each name is only to register with a site like this; you can change your Bladeforum ID whenever you like, and some people do so entirely legitimately -- even notify us that the new name is really the same old person.
 
Bugs the dude in question has a Yahoo address. Yahoo profiles shows that the coyotejoe2 thing was just updated today and all it shows is the bare minimum, looks like it was set up just to re-register here.
 
Md i could be wrong but i too made a offer on those ten knives . was told all were sold . right after maybe a day or two saw the 10 inch lever lock up for trade/sale. might want to go back and check old f/s posts. ?? just checked its on page 8 f/s on 3/28 monster lever lock f/s or trade. ????thought this was one of the 10 I offered a trade for. Guy's?????

) Am beginning to think this guy has more identities than underwear. There is of course, nothing wrong with that, unless they are used to deceive/defraud. I have trouble remembering my own name as it is, can't imagine trying to be a bunch of people.

Well, hopefully, the posts on his selling threads are at least making it more difficult for him to sell anything more.

Well I agreed to a trade with this man a few days ago. We aren't to ship till Monday or Tuesday. Now I feel pretty wierd doing it. I said I would trade before I read all this. What to do ? Not ship and break my word or ship and maybe get ripped off. Man I just don't like the way the forum is going lately. It seems there is a surge of bad deals takeing place. The fact there has been no answer to this post worries me even more. We need to get that rateing system going. I sure don't need any added stress in my life and I bet most of us feel like that. This knife collecting is for fun and making friends along with learning alot on metals, history and a whole aray of other things and most important the use and making of knives while Jesus was walking around. If you are into Damascus it seems from what little I know that's pretty close to when and where it started. Kinves have changed history saved lives and got us to where we are today. Even with all the goddies on the spaceship they still took a Case XX knife with them. Let's keep our dealing with each other honest. If you are wanting to make a living in knives this forum is not the place for you. Number one just how often do you see knives sell here for more than they do at a show or from a store or dealer? They don't. Number two if you aren't honest you won't be here long enough to make any money. Ranting has stoped I am going to go drink a Coke and get my caffine fix for the night.

ed to give everyone to get it all out. don't you all think maybe you could have asked be before you just tore me apart. in the deal with brad believe me guys i send exactally what i said 10 knives. i don't know what happened between here ant there. he says he got 5 i have to believe him. and i e-mailed him and offered to send back his casper and a
nib s&w auto to make it up to him and i haven't even heard anything back. so what am i suppose to do. and i never said anythig about the 5 knives he has i was planning on letting him keep them because of the problems.
and with marks package not getting there yet,i live in a very rural area and mail is picked up at a private post office,then taken to casa grande then to phoenix then
shipped out. sometimes it is screwey and takes awhile. but if there happened to be any problem at all with it never getting there i would without question make up the value of his knives. and the 50.00 i owe like i said in the deal a guy owed it to me and just as soon as i got it i would send it.
it arrived saturday morning and i e-mailed him and told him since it took so long i would send it western union to him first thing monday morning and i am.
has anyone talked to the other 4 or 5 people i delt with in the roon that e-mailed me back and thanked me after they recieved there knives i don't think so. but damn everyone sure was ready to hang me without
even giving me a chance to do anything.
i liked the room so much when i found it
could buy a few knives,maybe trade a few,heck
maybe even make a couple friends. but damn guys that sure doesn't seem to be the case.
