Hello dear friends,
With God's good will today i present you a one off high end custom 'Yoshino'.
Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a gorgeous cutter and a collector grade custom.
An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations.
All screws are precision machined stainless steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on beryllium bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.
The blade is made using the high carbon 26c3 (Spicy White) tool steel at 64 hrc, with a high flat grind and a crisp hand sanded hamon. The blade comes razor sharp.
Yoshino features on short:
- 26c3 (Spicy White) tool steel at 64 hrc, with a crisp hand sanded hamon.
- Grade 5 TA6V titanium frame.
1. presentation side - stonewashed, engraved and custom anodized; hand forged antiqued copper cherry blossoms in a unique 'Active' inlay format (the user can change the arrangement of the handmade decorations on his own taste as all blossoms have back scale screws not rivets).
2. mechanism side - stonewashed, engraved and selective buffed and hand anodized cherry blossoms.
- beryllium phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.
- screws are precision machined blackened steel.
- the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel.
- pivot has blue anodized Titanium screw on presentation side and silver alu countersunk washer on mechanism side to correctly match the theme.
- one off custom made solid brass thumb stud - hand forged finish.
- carbidized lock face.
- secure lock and nice smooth 'hydraulic' action.
- the blade is correctly centered.
- the knife can be very easily flipped even if it slides on washers and the blade has no play.
OAL - 7.87", Blade - 3.55"
