You are allowed only one Benchmade knife, which one?

BM 43 Balisong, because it has a good blade profile, holds a good edge, and is the most fun of my folders to play with. :D

Out of all my knives I really only regularly carry my BM710HSSR, so that would have to be the one. :)

Only have the one BM, a 710HS. Its a great tool, axis lock is a winner, like the M2 blade and slight recurve design, very comfy to use and carry. Have only had this piece for a couple of weeks, so far it has performed well above my expectations for a mass produced folder. If all BM's are made this well, I will have to add a few more to the collection.

Tough one.
If it's going to be my only folder, period, the 520 gets my vote.
If it's going to be my only Benchmade, probably my 940Ti.
If it's going to be my only knife, 140HS.
Hard to give a straight answer with such a varied lineup...

Another vote for the 710. Mine happens to be the HSSR sub-type (M2 steel, semi-serrated).

It's a classic, and one of what I think of as the "Big 4" of production folders:

Sebenza
BM 710
Al Mar SERE 2000
Spyderco Military

As a humorous aside, I've copied below the descriptions I gave of these 4 knives in this thread on the excellent British Blades forum.

Sebenza: Range Rover
SERE 2000: HMMV
Benchmade 710: Impreza
Military: Land Rover, stripped-down, no doors, mounted .50 M2HB

Users:

Sebenza: James Bond
SERE 2000: Vin Diesel
Benchmade 710: Bruce Willis
Military: Bruce Lee

Uhm.... I love my old and beat up Mini TSEK and I haven't seen the 210, but based on the pics, I'd go for that one!

I would not be able to let go of either my 806SD2 or my 705-02BW. They are the perfect pair for me. My only wish would be to have the 806 in satin finish D2 like the 705.

I think that Mr. Thombrogan will know what my answer will be. :D

My answer to the question is my 705 Forum Knife. #18 to be precise. :D

Not only he knows, what your favorite is. :D

Mine would be my customized 806 RWL34. :)

941Ti-01. An awewsome design executed in Ti and S30V. It's in my pocket right now. Close second would be my 941D2CF. I love carbon fiber..:). I think the ultimate would be a 941 with carbon fiber and S30V but they haven't made one (yet).

I'd have to go with a PE 705. It's small enough for convenient EDC but still large enough to handle most all cutting chores.

Here we go again, the title pretty much says it all. I think someone asked last time if I meant any Spyderco knife or any Spyderco knife they own. Either, if you would only take one knife that you haven't owned I'm sure you have a good reason. :)

So which Benchmade if you could only have one? And why? Let em fly!

Benchmade 943. I have owned many Benchmades and this one has the best combination of weight, blade shape, blade length, locking mechanism, and ergonomics for me.
