You are allowed only one Benchmade knife, which one?

I wish I had a 940Ti, but I don't, so I'll say my regular 940, since I've been carrying one almost exclusively for the last couple of months. Looks nice, feels great, big enough blade for all my daily tasks, yet small enough to carry without noticing. I took it car camping last week after passing up all of my fixed blades, and used it quite a bit. Sharpens easily - probably my all-time favorite.

I guess I'm alone in having a preference for rust-resistance as a major factor in a knife -- at least, particularly if it is "the only one I could have." ;)

So I would go with my 100SH20, the Dive Knife in H-1 steel. It has great high-vis handle scales, a good sheath, some serrations and a good amount of plain edge, and I've got mine very sharp. Add to that the fact that it won't rust, and I think it's a very versatile knife in a hypothetical "you-can-have-only-one" scenario.

Blue skies,

When it comes to Benchmades, it's sorta like the Highlander - "There can be only one" - the 710!

Seriously, I think the 710 is the absolute best Benchmade ever made. Great size, great blade shape, great materials, great ergonomics, Lifesharp, etc. What more could you ask?!?!!! :D

I only own one BM,a 556. I loved this little folder the first couple weeks I had it then spent the next month or so trying to trade it off. Never did make a trade so I started carrying it again. It's a keeper now,it really grew on me once I gave it a chance and their 440c does perform pretty well. The axis lock seems to me to be extremely strong. Along with a sak my 556 is a great edc. I'll choose it.....for now. ;)

If I could have a 520 in M2 then I would go with that. Until then it's the 710hs all the way.
