you can only have one

I'd have to go with either a Benchmade Apparition or a Spec Bump. I'm a sucker for AO (since Full auto is illegal in Canada :P), and they feel so damn solid. The Benchmade's filework along the back and extra little fancy bits really show the craftsmanship in it. Damn fine blades.

A Sebenza of some kind, a Tom Mayo TNT of some kind, or a Strider of some kind. With all of the variations of each out there, it is hard for me to decide on just one right now. If I had a gun to my head... Okay, a Mayonized Large Sebenza, because it would combine my love for Sebenzas and TNTs.

Right now the only knives I buy, use, and collect are Doziers, but I am not crazy about his folders (his full tang fixed blades are just amazing, though). I am thinking about collecting one make or model of folder and I am trying to decide between Sebenzas, TNTs, or Striders. I know some would say "all three!" but I just want to focus on one right now. I think I am going to go with Sebbies. I owned a Large Classic Sebenza, and an SMF, and I miss both a lot but the Sebenza keeps me up at night more often. I have handled several TNTs and they are fantastic, but I don't think I like them enough over a Sebenza to justify the price.

Fit and finish are excellent for the price.

By the way:

I paid 2X more for my Buck Mayo TNT, and the blade isn't centered when the knife is closed. If I was looking for a framelock, the Benchmade 635 Mini Skirmish would get my vote. Chris Reeve's Sebenza is a well designed knife, but there are 2 problems: 1. The S30V blade is not heat treated optimally, it is too soft (should be HRC 60, rather than 57-58) and 2. I feel that it's overpriced. The Benchmade Mini Skirmish's blade has a better heat treat and is about $200 less.

An axis lock: the Benchmade Ritter RSK 1. :)

If only you could get one that metamorphised and the way you'd like it to.
