You can only pick one EDC...only one what do you choose??

I don't have many to choose from since my collections is still budding, but i would carry the 710 without a doubt. The thing is built like a tank and the M2steel never ceases to amaze.

Victorinox 84mm Tourist ...... in truth, I can't ever remember NEEDING more knife than this. Thin, sharp blades cut like crazy (and re-sharpen easily). Throw in a few screwdrivers and a way to open my beverages -- I'm good to go.

Isnt the manix and sebenza "big" folders to go carrying around all the time?
Not for me. I wear jeans with a belt. The Manix, Sebenza, (Large) Skirmish, SERE 2000, AFCK 806D2 etc... all fit perfectly in my right front pocket. My keys in my left front. My wallet in the back. All of the listed knives give me room to put my hands in my pockets. And because of the belt, none of them weigh too much.

I do admit, though, that I wear shorts sometimes. And when I do, I am very happy that I also own knives like the Nakamura, Leek, Native, Mayo Cutback etc... But even in shorts my Sebenza is small and light enough to ride along, and I would rather deal with a Sebenza or Manix in my shorts a day or two each month than settle for a Leek or Native as my only EDC.

I like small knives too, and I like variety, but my favorite kind of knife is the big folder. I like the look and feel of them. I have almost 80 knives and they range from small slipjoints to large fixed blades, to butterfly knives, to autos etc... I have a pretty good variety. All ~80 of them are in my EDC rotation. So obviously I like to mix it up. But if I could only have 1, it would be a big folder. And the Sebenza and Manix are my favorites. To me, they are the perfect size for EDC and I don't understand why so many people feel they are too big. To each his own.

Though I prefer the handle of the 805/806, I'd have to go with Benchmade's 710, in M2 persuasion.

Just enough handle to allow control, a reliable lock I trust more than other types, good and versatile blade shape, and that easy to (for me) sharpen and "toothy" feelin' steel.

806d2- To me, this is the most perfect knife I have ever held. The only thing I would like changed would be the texture of the g-10. The handle shape, pocket clip, blade shape, and openning hole all seem just right to me. love the axis. great over all design. -Now that I'm thinkin about it, if I could have my way, it wouldn't be called the afck and it would be about 1/4 inch shorter. -but hey

Just one for EDC? Hmmmm. I would choose my (still on order though.) Darrel Ralph AXD NG. I f I have to choose one I own, it would my CRK large Sebbie.

Can't believe a Grip hasn't been mentioned yet. I'll take my Cabelas D2 Minigrip, although I'd sure miss my larger version....

Just one? Tough call. It would be either the Spyderco Ocelot or the BenchMade HK34FDP. (AKA 14200).

Not sure as both are flawless. I rather favor the Made in the USA thing BM has going for it so probably the HK.
