Every once in awhile you do a deal with someone who shocks you with their generosity and trust. That just happened to me with BF member sodak. He'd heard that I was interested in Krein regrinds and ZDP-189 steel, two things I've yet to try. Without any prior relationship or history between us, he PM'd me an offer to try out some of his knives with ZDP and a Krein regrind. And he asked for nothing in return -- no collateral, no knives in exchange... nothing. A couple days ago in the mail I recieved from him a ZDP Delica, ZDP Caly, and a VG-10 Caly with a Krein regrind. On top of this, he is actually encouraging me to USE and SHARPEN them, not just admire them. All he wants in return are my honest opinions and reports on how the knives are performing for me. Wow!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that he is in the U.S. and I'm based in Canada. I can't thank you enough, sodak.:thumbup:
