I think what Boss meant by me being Horseshoe and handgrenade close was the fact that I was very very far from the answer.

14 is not the length guys...I cant say any more but I found the clue of all clues. Its most likely longer than 14", definitely a sword.

Some kind of 14th century cavalry sword, lithuanian or polish, I see charging dragoons, dragon energy, the 14th sword, but then it could be a sabre or even a cutlass, either way im almost sure its a sword, posibly with a hand guard.

But its likely some kind of curved cavalry sword, I cant share my reasoning yet or some other hog will steal it, but I think this is the way the riddle goes. But could be a falchion of sorts.

Ok Im getting nervous so Im going to spill what I got, bossman snuck the clues in a footnote of his post, it says "For many, victory is the only option. - Keturiolika Kardas"

Keturiolika Kardas means 14 sword or 14th sword in Lithuanian, and a 14th century lithianian sword is a cavalry sword.

Now, Amy also has a footnote that says "Older and Wiser but still "Bringing It" XOXO" which is a bacon and/or ganazaa reference.

garths posts gave me no info, his and Amy's may be a ruse, i think Jerry said it all.

Its some kind of forsaken silent sword, possibly with cbt(bacon).

Now, "victory is the only option" could be a spartan reference, so it could be a gladius or spartan or possibly a hoplite sword.

Then again it could be areference to the kamiakze spirit or silent kamikaze wind...

Or a spatha or a parazonium...

Or maybe forsaken silent outlaw wicked in cbt, man these puzzles are harder than the riddle of steel!

Or, Jerry said SHHHH, which could be a nod towards Shashka Dragoon.

Given the large amount of shop credit on the line, it's expensive and probably big. Between the horseshoes and hand grenades comment about the earlier short butaniku guess and the fact that the thread with the taking it over to Leonardo's (the sword wielding ninja turtle) place was the basic 8 thread, I'm guessing either:

Basic Butaniku or Basic Short Butaniku

New res-c sword handle to be appearing on a variety of upcoming swords.
