You just gotta laugh at the little things once in a while

Auto-correct has me laughing and/or fuming most every day. I use the voice dictation a lot and if I don't have my glasses on to proof what I'm about to send it can/has been very laughable/embarrassing.
I have two identical Android phones. One for work and the other is strictly personal. I have to type my name frequently so both dictionaries are familiar with the spelling. My personal phone has no issues with that but my work phone wants to insert "Weiner" after my first name even though it is absolutely nowhere even remotely close to the spelling of my actual last name. My Viking ancestors are sitting in Valhalla laughing hysterically at my predicament.

This reminds me of a spelling error my dad made on our western wear clothing store sign we had back in 1977. I was at school watching a high school basketball game and my friend came over and said I better get home and tell my dad their was a glaring mistake on the sign. Sure enough on the way there I drove past the store and lite up for all traffic to see; All Men’s Shits on sale at 25% off. Oh my, he meant shirts ! Lol. I got home and told dad and he busted out laughing and said I’ll go get that corrected now . I’ll bet there were plenty of people that got a chuckle out of it and I still get a chuckle myself. Lol

Go into settings on your phone and shut off auto correct. Problem solved.

I can do one better... touch and hold the offending word then slide it over to the pop-up "Remove Suggestion"

I had a phone that didn't do it's auto incorrect, until I pressed send, leaving no chance to fix it, when it was incorrect. I don't know if all phones are like that, but since I figured that out, the first thing I do with a new phone is figure out how to disable auto correct. I still use spell check, where it underlines a word in red, if it thinks it's wrong, but I get to decide if the word gets changed.

I still watch cutlery corner from time to time, sometimes there are some decent deals on case knives and I love to make fun of the junk that I used to actually own.

Anyways a few months back they had a bone handled Pakistani hunter they were calling " The big Boner " :D

Oh and there was one a year or so ago, they were selling this cheapo Scottish Bollock dirk and they accidentally put " Bollocks Dik " on the screen instead

Have you ever looked at the transcriptions of voice mail messages in your iPhone? Those phones have a tough time with Eastern NC dialects. I eat lunch occasionally with a group of Army retirees, we are all old buddies from days past. One of them left me a voice mail that got transcribed as “I love you man” - you can believe I had a good time passing the phone around at lunch that day - everyone got a good laugh out of it. Those autocorrects and transcriptions will get you! OH
