Now, I don't want to make any promises about this happening, but let's talk about it.

What would you guys say to one with say, S35V steel and micarta handles? Perhaps with a polished blade (though we could still do the standard epoxy powder coat)?

Granted this would probably definitely cost more, but let's find out the level of interest in this.

Would Boiiiiiiing be a clear enough answer ?
I need to change my pants now.
I really like the stone washed look but I would love it no mater what..lol

In fer shiz.
S30V, no coating, and possibly keeping any engravings small and obscure. Micarta? sure why not, stonewashed? sure why not.

That sounds awesome. However, I would not be able to afford one in that steel. If you kept the 1095CV and did something else different I might have a chance.

Ooooh stonewashed, I didn't even think about that...

I would prefer no powder coat, personally. And micarta matters naught to me, because I would do stabilized wood handles and mosaic pins.

I'd say this sure would be interesting, but the pricing is pretty important for college student me.

To be completely honest, getting the normal BK16 at a discount or normal price with a "BeckerHead" or "BF" engraving would be more up my ally, but I'm betting I'm in the minority here.

Yes, I'd be all over that. S35V, micarta, stonewashed.

I should have been clearer with my post. If the knife could be kept around $150 I might be able to force my self to afford it.

Stone washed would be awesome! You could probably get KaBar to reprogram the laser for a different logo too

Bk16 S35v micarta stonewashed markings blended into the standard areas? oh my lordy ill buy! More than one!
