You know you spend too much time on BF's when...

You know you spend too much time here when you start spending less and it becomes apparent how much time you were spending before.
With the new half whittler occupying my pocket lately and not likely to change any time soon I haven't had much to post this past month and It's been a nice change of pace not being turned onto a new knife by a picture someone posts.

I was definitely spending too much time here, and I definitely made some posts I could really have stood not to.

Lately I've realized theres a lot to learn if you try to read more than post.
That is a beauty.

I don't have the post totals you do, but I've definitely posted early in the AM.
Just saw your 2:03 AM post in the GEC thread.

:D Point taken. But remember, I'm around 8 hours ahead of you, being in Europe so it was around 10 a.m. ;) But I've been here in my small hours too

Yeah. I distinctly remember, in 1970 I really splurged & bought an Uncle Henry stockman for $16, and thought, "Holy cow! My wife's gonna kill me." :)
Well, 16 dollars was a lot more back then than it is now.... in 1970-ish, we were buying new Case Sodbusters for $6.

According to an inflation comparison...
"In other words, $16 in 1970 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $106.85 in 2020"
"In other words, $6 in 1970 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $40.07"

I know. I always worked alot of overtime & we were never hurting, but that was a lot of money back then.

I remember thinking a 110 was too much money so we always bought these "Sharp" brand lock backs from K-Mart. I wish I still had one.

When your wife hands you an orange box and complains “there are more knives in the house than pens and don’t get the mess in the background when you post pictures of the new knife.”

A snake will mostly only attack when frightened or being hassled.
Also ...re venom...baby snakes are just as venomous as adults...the reason they are generally more "aggressive" and bitey is that they are likely prey for bigger predators so are naturally more feisty....as they get bigger they rise up the food chain and are calmer....when not in fear of their life....venom is produced much like saliva...
"Best to leave the wild ones alone.....they dont want to be our friends"
I think it was Timothy Treadwell (deceased) who said that...might have been the Aussie Tiger Shark petting girl (horribly scarred) .
