you know your a spydie addict when...

you register the .com name "Spydie" :)

When 95% of the time you spend online is reading about Spydie's in the forums and any place else you can find.

When the things you really thought you needed you start to trade for any Spyderco knife you don't have.

When you can say "Yes" to almost every other post in this thread. :)
When you have a dedicated pajama Spydie(SS Delica) that never leaves your PJ pocket.
When you think about carrying only flat grinds one day, and hollow grinds the next(I haven't done it, but thought about it).
When you think about the same thing with PE, SE or 50/50.

a) you actually add to this list
b) your thumb has a permanent dent from the opening hole

... when you become so nervous because you can't get this new prototype Spydie right here right now...

Another sign would be you are playing with a spyide in your hand while you type a response with the other hand

you know you're a spydie addict when you think up another "you're a spydie addict" line and actually spend more than 5 minutes to dig up the thread because you forgot the keywords to locate this thread!!! ;)

When you have a UK Pride in one pocket and a Large Sebenza in the other!

And the Pride does not look or feel out of place!:)

When you hear someone say "the natives are restless" and all you can think of is whether or not they're in AUS-10, 440V, or S30V.

Thats so true! I was just thinking how I have an 10a steel Native and an FRN in S60v and how much I want an S30V model!

Spyder-Folks,

I have more of a permanent abrasion on my right thumb that an imprint. In fact, I'm pretty sure most of the fingerprint is now gone.

When I first receive a new Spydie, my Spyder-thumb gets quite sore from doing you-know-what. Also my arm hair is permenently in a state of re-forest-ation.

This is a great thread...good idea VW.

Cheers, Jeff/1911.

There's another one!

When you refer to certain parts of your body by how they relate to your Spyderco!

Vampyre Wolf,

I'm stealing your idea, crediting you for it, and sharing it with a group of knifeknuts who enjoy another brand almost as much Spydieknuts do.

thombrogan> go for it, this was just a "I'm bored, lets see what I come up with" post, and it ended up working.

I've got to say that the other group of knifeknuts didn't have as many creative answers as the Spyderco addicts. There were a lot of great answers, just not as many.

My face was just about to fall flat on the keyboard!

When you try to have sex with the Spydie hole:eek: I have not gone that far yet but it will make you go wash the next spydie you get on a trade.:D

Correct! I spend some time trying to guess all the knives on the cover of the 2003 catalog :) There's only one I couldn't recognize, somewhere down left the bug shape made by spidies. It only shows something like a hawkbill with two holes (or so it seemed to me) :(

Not true! I have a FRN Delica attached to the pyjama, not an SS one ;)
