You mean you USE a $900 knife???

Well being that we're talking about using my BM LE... Tell me how to fix this. Its not really rolled... sort of dinged I guess. Its right at the top curve of the belly. Very fine, you can hardly feel it, but I think you can see it.

The most fun way to fix it is just keep beating on her until the whole edge looks like that and then it won't stand out anymore! :D   A repetitive user doesn't need to have a perfect edge on it since it will only keep getting used. Remember, you have to remove steel in order to remove blemishes. Do that enough and you have a lot less blade than you started out with.

You can actually see both of my LE mistresses in this pic. The FBM LE factory edge held up much better than the NMFBM LE factory edge, but on hard wood it was just the opposite.

Nice looking hood Tim, do you do that with all your hoods to allow more air flow to get to the engine? :D:D Nice looking bunch of Busse's.

The only reason I can think to have a knife and not use it is if it was bought solely for investment for future sale at profit unused. Otherwise, if they are just going to sit there I see no reason to have them.

Now I think I need a new large BUSSE to use.

I would use a smooth butcher steel, not the standard grooved one. Or some other hard, smooth cylindrical item. A screwdriver would do. Put the blade in a vise, edge down for safety, then you can push on the steel pretty hard.

+1. In terns of investment properties, there are WAY better ways to spend your money, than on knives. Two great options are gold and stock. Gold is on the rise again by the way : D

Well I'm not really too concerned because it is such a minute area and has no effect on performance. I'm only going to fix it, because it was an act of stupidity that caused it. After swinging it for about 20 minutes, I chucked it straight down into the dirt. When I removed it, I saw the deformity. Definitely an unnecessary action causing atypical wear.

I chop into the dirt all the time, it happens.

Don't remove any steel that you don't have to. Straighten it out with a butchers steel then strop it, eventually any damage will sharpen out after several sharpening sessions.

RightFreakingOn!!!

I used mine, and it looked damn good when I sold it as a user! The best damn chopper bar-none!

 LE NMFBM !!!
