Are we not talking about Grohmann? Thats the impression I got from SP, he thought the steel was to soft on the grohmann knives.

Yes.... PUI a little that night. :o The four Grohmann's I have owned were all good knives, and held a decent edge. The carbon blades I had were soft, but not out of the ordinary IMHO.
