"You paid how much for that knife?" and other stupid remarks that people make

I've found that the best thing to do is make sure your friends have a decent knife then provide them wihth sharpening services. no gags at my expense 'cause not a one of them has learned how to keep their knife cutting without me!

I took my new kershaw vapor to work , I had it out playing with it .
This lady asked if she could see it for a minute , I said ok but be carful and dont drop it . I handed it to her she opens it up and dropped it a second later :( right on the point ! Well I think it survied.Wonder how often that happens at knife shows? I had a 20 dollar knive, just think soomeone doing that with a 500 dollar knife :

I had the same thing happen to my beloved BM556. I let some muttonhead at work look at it, the first time he tried to open it he dropped it right on the concrete floor leaving a nice big chunk out of the edge. The D head just handed it back like nothing happened, took me about an hour to do a full reprofiling and sharpening to where you couldnt tell.
I now tell people straight out when they want to look at my CFD2941, or my other 94x's, a big fat NO!!

One remark I`ve heard over the years is "where`d you get that pig sticker at." Or how about "Is that a throwing knife."One old codger back in 1980 after hearing what I had paid for a Randall#1 said "I could kill a !#&*X! with a $1.00 butcher knife."Well to each his own.Have a good one. David :D

<as I picked up the knife, frowning intently at the stupid woman>: "Okay, GUESS who never gets to touch anything that belongs to me, ever again!"

STICKY you hit it on the head. I handed a very good gold jeweled pocket watch I carried to a guy that wanted to look at it. Dumbass dropped it and broke the mainspring. The watch was over 100 yrs. old. 'Nother guy wanted to look at a beautiful arrowhead I found. Yep,he dropped it on the concrete garage floor and busted it right in half. He just looked at me, scooped up the two parts and handed them to me and acted like nothing had happened.
